The Chestnut Path

This project takes place in the Pistoiese Mountains, in the village of Orsigna, one of the outdoor locations of the Ecomuseum of the Pistoiese Mountains. It follows the journey of the chestnut, from its harvest in the forest to the traditional methods of producing chestnut flour.

 

Through my photography, I document the landscapes, people, and processes that bring this ancient tradition to life, highlighting the connection between nature, craftsmanship, and the cultural heritage that thrives in this timeless rural setting.
