AWARDS
My photos have given me some satisfaction and award so far. They may not be the World Press Photo, but they hold great significance to me, showing that my work is meaningful and appreciated by people.

YOALIN Photo Contest
This photo was one of the three winners of the YOALIN Photo Contest. It was taken aboard the famous Bernina Express during an interrail trip I was fortunate to undertake thanks to YOALIN. YOALIN is a project by CIPRA, an international organization dedicated to the protection of the Alps. Each year, YOALIN selects 100 young people and offers them an interrail pass to raise awareness about the environmental challenges facing the Alps and to promote slow and sustainable tourism. This journey was not only an opportunity to explore the extraordinary Swiss landscapes but also a chance to reflect on the importance of adopting a responsible approach to our environment.
Le Cascine, metamorphosis and conservation - the unexpected and the invisible
Palazzina Reale, Santa Maria Novella Train Station, Florence
3-10 December 2024
I participated in the photographic call by the Order of the Architects in Florence. Despite not having won any prize, two of three pictures I submitted were selected to be shown at the public exhibition at the Palazzina Reale, Santa Maria Novella train station, Florence, Italy.

The Indian
A contemporary reinterpretation of Carl Simon's 1910 shot, preserved in the Alinari Archives. The statue of the Indian prince Rajaram Chuttraputti Maharajak, erected in 1874 in memory of the Maharaja of Kolhapur, who died suddenly in Florence in 1870, stands as a symbol of a bygone era. Just behind it, one of the two red pylons of the more recently built Indian Bridge emerges between the tree canopies, tracing a visual dialogue between the past and the present.
Horses
A modern reinterpretation of a photograph from 1888, by an unknown author, kept in the Alinari Archives. While in the original scene the subject was the horseman Malagrida, today the same space is filled by an SUV. In the background, other vehicles wait in front of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, completing the testimony of a transition to new means of transport and marking the evolution of a place once destined for a different purpose and a slower life.
