أنا من هناك. ولي ذكرياتٌ .
I am from there. I have memories.
One day someone stopped to take this picture. Images taken from 360° panoramas, requiring time, patience, a special connection with the place.
Today, that place probably no longer exists. And perhaps neither does the person who photographed it.
Perhaps he only wanted to share a corner of his city, a fragment of everyday life. Today, however, these images are historical memories. Documents born almost by chance.
Street View exists to help us find our way, but in this case it becomes something else: an involuntary archive of places that no longer exist, a collective reportage made not by photojournalists, but by those who simply lived these places.
Fragments of a recent past, everyday moments of a place that was. And that may no longer be.
